How to use search in the dashboard
Find charges, payouts, customers, paykeys, accounts, and funding events from a single search bar in the Straddle Dashboard.
Before you start
You need an active Straddle Dashboard account.
Using search
Press Cmd+K (Mac), Ctrl+K (Windows), or
/from anywhere in the dashboard, or click the search bar in the header.Type any partial information: a customer name, email address, amount, description, or external ID.
Results appear instantly, grouped by entity type. The All tab shows the top matches across every type. A tab for each entity type (Charges, Payouts, Paykeys, Customers, Accounts, Funding Events) appears when that type has matching results.
Use the Tab key to switch between entity tabs. Use the arrow keys to move between results.
Press Enter or click a result to go to its detail page.
Search examples
Search works across the text you would naturally associate with a record. The examples below are a starting point, not a complete list.
Entity | Example searches |
|---|---|
Charges | Customer name ("Swanson"), partial amount ("250"), status ("failed"), date ("yesterday"), description, payment type ("ACH"), return reason ("insufficient funds"), trace number |
Payouts | Customer name, amount, status, date, description, paykey name |
Customers | Name or partial name, email address, phone number, type ("business"), status ("in review"), partial address |
Paykeys | Bank name ("Chase"), masked account number ("2990"), account type ("business checking"), customer name, status ("pending") |
Accounts | Business name, website, phone, representative name, partial tax ID, external ID |
Funding events | Account name, linked bank name, amount, transfer date, direction |
Tips
Typo tolerance. Search handles misspellings. "Swanosn" returns "Swanson."
Partial information is enough. A first name, a partial email address, or an approximate amount all work.
Narrow by type. Click a tab (Charges, Payouts, Paykeys, Customers, Accounts, Funding Events) to show only that entity type.
Keyboard-first. Arrow keys navigate results; Tab switches entity tabs; Esc closes search.
