What to Prepare for Your Straddle Application

To help make onboarding as smooth as possible, here’s a quick overview of what you’ll need and what to expect when applying to use Straddle.

Most applications take just a few minutes to complete.

What to Expect

Getting started with Straddle is typically a quick and straightforward process. Most businesses can complete onboarding with basic business and banking information.

In some cases, we may ask follow up questions depending on your business or how you plan to use payments.

Information You’ll Need

Business Information (KYB)

(used to verify your business)

  • Legal business name

  • EIN (tax ID)

  • Business address

  • Website

  • Short description of what your business does and its use case

Ownership and Identity Details (KYC)

(used to verify individuals associated with the business)

  • Names of business owners or key individuals

  • Basic identifying information

Bank Account Information

(used to enable payments)

  • Business bank account details

  • Account should be active and able to send and receive ACH payments

  • Ability to securely connect your bank account (for example, via Plaid) or provide account details manually

Tips to Avoid Delays

  • Make sure your business name matches your bank account records

  • Ensure your website clearly reflects your services

  • Double check that all information is accurate before submitting

  • Be ready to briefly explain how you use payments if asked

  • If you are not connecting your bank account via Plaid, be prepared to provide recent bank statements for verification (typically 3 consecutive statements)

Additional Information (If Needed)

In some cases, we may request additional information to complete your review. This depends on your business model and how payments are being used.

This may include:

  • Government issued ID

  • EIN confirmation (such as an IRS letter)

  • Additional details on how payments flow through your business

  • Examples of how you collect customer authorization

These requests are not always required, but being prepared can help speed things up if needed.

What Happens Next

After you submit your application:

  • Our team reviews your information

  • We may reach out if anything needs clarification

  • Once approved, you’re ready to start processing payments
